What can be Recycled?
Below is a list of acceptable items for recycling. If the bins are full please call(780) 831-0270.
Mixed Paper
Includes: Newspaper, flyers, magazines, catalogues, mail, bond, letter and copy paper, colored paper, envelopes, phone books, brochures, paperback books, labels, and greeting cards.
Notes:
Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed. Heavy duty clips must be removed.
Glass
Includes:
All colors of glass jars, bottles, and beverage containers.
Notes:
Please rinse before depositing. Please remove lids and place them in the apporpriate tin or plastic container.
Aluminum
Includes:
Beverage and food containers, foil trays and wrap.
Notes:
Please remove labels and rinse.
Tin Cans
Includes:
Bevarage and food containers, jar lids.
Notes:
Please remove labels and rinse.
Plastics
Includes:
Plastic bags, containers and other products with the following recycle codes can be recycled.
- #1 - Ex: Soft drink bottles
- #2 - Ex: Milk jugs
- #4 - Ex: Plastic grocery bags
- #5 - Ex: Margarine containers
Notes:
Please rinse containers. The numbers for the plastics can be found on the bottom of most plastic containers inside of the mobius loop.
Cardboard (Grande Praire Only)
Includes:
Cardboard such as shipping boxes and cereal boxes.
Notes:
Please ensure the cardboard is flattened. No wax film cardboard.
