Please separate your recyclable material into the appropriate bin.

Materials from the bins are collected and delivered to our processing plant in Grande Prairie where the product is cleaned, sorted and baled. From there, it is shipped to market.

Recycling depots are scattered throughout the City of Grande Prairie and the Northwest Region of the Province. They are located in urban, commercial and rural sites - you might find one at your local arena, shopping centre or transfer station.
• Cardboard is used to make the paper covering for drywall?

• Old Newspaper is used to make spray insulation for buildings?

• Plastic is processed and used in fabricating fleece jackets, carpets, etc.?

Glass is used for sandblasting and reflective paint for asphalt?

The Regional Recycling program is capable of recycling and removing more than 75% of the residential waste stream from landfills.

The program collects, processes and markets material such as:

• Tin Cans
• Glass
• Plastic
• Milk Cartons
• Cardboard
