The Peace Country's Largest Recycling Program!

Power Plus is simple: Groups register to set up an account and will be assigned a unique account number.

Anyone wishing to donate to that group can simply drop their donations off in a box or bag that is tagged with the appropriate account number. (Glass and plastics must be separated.)

Donations are accepted at either depot and set aside for processing during the less busy periods of the day.

The donations are tallied at month end and a cheque is issued to the appropriate group. This provides convenience to clients and another fund raising tool for clubs and youth groups.

POWER PLUS PROGRAM

Service clubs and organized youth groups can fund raise on a year round basis with our Power Plus Program (PPP).

Clients frequently express a desire to donate their containers to an organization other than the monthly selected charity and this program allows them to do just that!

Since first offering this service in late 2007, over 150 youth and service groups have signed on and are raising money for their club or special projects.

REMOVE YOUR CAPS
One of the most frequent WCB claims by employees of bottle depots are those related to carpel tunnel syndrome. This comes from the repetitive motions used to remove the caps from bottles. Caps must be removed prior to recycling. Please Remove Caps.

DON'T CONTAMINATE
Contaminants such as cigarette butts, liquids such as gasoline or urine, or containers that have been home to mice place our staff at risk. Please Rinse Containers (Milk) and Do Not Contaminate.

LEAVE YOUR CLOTHES ON
There are in excess of 50,000 types of “ready to serve” containers registered in Alberta as part of the container refund collection industry. Still, many containers sold by retailers are not part of the deposit system. By leaving labels on the container our staff can quickly identify if a deposit was paid at the time of purchase. Please Leave Labels On.
